The Sunbearer Trails, by Aiden Thomas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Do you love LGBTQIA+, Trans, and Deaf representation? Aiden Thomas has your back!
I really enjoyed the first half of the book, but I’m writing this review for another reason.
As a Deaf person, we don’t get much representation. When we do. It’s usually incredibly not accurate. However, this story has a Deaf character, which surprised me. I was a bit nervous, because I was loving the book so far and really didn’t want it ruined by a minor detail.
However. The Deaf character, named Desi, was an amazing character. Well written. Accurate. And my favorite character through the whole book (when they were mentioned). Excellent work on representing a portion of the Deaf community.
Dezi is notably strong, and holds unique power thst had me swooning. Also, their overall lovability, and characteristics are wonderful. Their acceptance of the main character, Teo and how well they hold their own in the story.
As a side note. All representation in this book was very well done!
I am very excited to read the second book in this series. I am crossing my fingers for more Deaf representation.
