In celebration of my birthday, I wanted to share my all time favorite read. While all my top five favorite reads are close in ranks, this one ALWAYS takes the cake.
Winters Orbit, by Everina Maxwell.

I have been a long fan of Fantasy, but Sci-fi has always been a little harder for me to dive into. If it becomes to technical, then my brain just checks out. However, “Winters Orbit” has the perfect blend of Fantasy and Sci-fi for me.
in fact there was a perfect blend of everything. Just the right amount of Romance. A good plot. Dare I say, damn good plot twists? Just enough erotic and lovey dove, balanced with action, conspiracy AND murder mystery?! Ugh, just reminiscing is making me all jittery again <3
Each character has its own set of interesting characteristics, allowing them for growth and relatability. It is hard to pick just one favorite character, because they were all so lovely and unique. When I say growth, all the characters had their own personal and notable GROWTH. With a delicate balance that still kept the lovable features each of them have.
The technical aspects of this story have me wishful. The things Earth could do with this kind of technology would be incredible. I imagine how each of their technology could be used for accessibility, how much good it could do.
Not to give the whole book away, but if you like Song of Achilles. Red, white, and Royal blue, then you will love Winters Orbit. A masterful painting in the form of literature.
